"Wings of Faith" Radio
Our small radio station preaches the Gospel of Jesus
Christ to thousands in isolated mountain villages
around the town of Guaimaca. In most of the
mountain villages illiteracy approaches 95% among
adults.
Radio is one of the most effective ways of reaching
people who can't read tracts or Bibles but can hear
the word of GOD every day in our transmissions
which start at 5am and end at 11pm (24 hours a day
on the weekends).
It is a blessing to have the support of the
broadcasters in the column on the left, who send us
their programs absolutely free of charge, so that, even
though we are a small 100 watt station, we have
some of the best Christian programming in all of
Honduras.
We are especially grateful to have your prayers and
support which allows us to focus on evangelism and
discipleship on the air, and reach literally thousands
each day with the hope of Jesus Christ. (The
Guaimaca area has almost 25,000 people, half of
which live in the surrounding mountain villages
without electricity, plumbing or roads)

About The Station Equipment
For those of you who are techno-geeks like Mike
and all of his ham radio buddies, in our little
station we use a Crown Broadcast Model FM100T
transmitter which transmits at 100 watts on 97.7
FM. Our antenna is a Comet CFM-95SL 5/8 wave
omnidirectional antenna. Most of our listeners live
within a thirty mile radius of the station.

Prayer Requests
Please pray that the Lord will continue to use the
radio station for HIS glory. Pray also that we might
one day be able to increase our transmission power
and reach more people. Pray that the Lord provides
for the monthly needs of the ministry.

though transistor radios are fairly inexpensive many
families cannot afford one. We have the opportunity
to purchase solar powered radios set to our 97.7fm
frequency. You can turn up the volume, or turn it off,
but you can't change the station. They can only be
used to hear the gospel on our station. We would
like to order 500 of them to give out to some of the
families in the surrounding villages. The radios are
very well made and can be powered and charged by
the sun, a flashlight, or two lit candles.
